Digital Garden is a prettier name for the style of website I have.
The idea is that rather than being more finished and polished, this is a space where I can plant and tend to ideas over time, it reflects the unfinished but always growing nature of knowledge work more so than blogs can.
Favorite examples of digital gardens:
-
Maggie’s garden is visually awesome, linked is her post on digital gardens, probably the best I’ve read on the topic. - https://maggieappleton.com/garden-history
-
Andy Matuschak’s site catalyzed the idea to run my own - https://notes.andymatuschak.org
- His notes on knowledge work hammered in just how awesome the Zettelkasten style of note-taking is. I had the gist before, but his notes led to an understanding like the back of my hand.
