The zeigarnik effect
The Zeigarnik effect is a Psychological tool we can use for our Productivity.
“A task is easier to complete, when it is left incomplete.”
This takes advantage of the open loop in our brain, the inner completionist that wants to finish a task is stronger than the procrastinator who doesn’t want to start the task.
For best use, don’t look at a task as something to complete. Rather, see it as something to start so you can have it incomplete.
The opposite of procrastination is doing something so let doing something be the real goal.
Completion is just a bonus that we get motivated towards once we start.
