Work within your system before you try to optimize
As a counter point to Working on vs Working in. I personally waste time with optimization porn for many of the things I do.
Instead of constantly working on my learning systems as I have been the past month. I need to allow myself some time to work within it.
You begin updating not out of necessity but out of novelty
If you’re constantly updating the software you never have a chance to reap the benefit from running the program. I experienced this in 2022 at the start of Journal #2 with the constant working on of my personal philosophy.
When you’re working on systems there is no production. No production leads to stress and the focus of optimization is perfectionism instead of implementation. Before you take anyone else’s word for how you ought to do things, do them first then explore how you could do them better.
