This was one of the most profoundly motivating insight I’d heard in my time in sales. Albeit after the point my heart was long out of it. This applies to any skill.
There’s many things which seem like an awful amount of effort to get to the other side, but the other side comes with dividends that will pay off for your whole life.
I think particularly with social skills this is greatly important. You will always be a social creature til the day you die, so extracting more grace and goodwill from your interactions is priceless.
