We Are Not Our Philosophy

Perhaps our philosophy isn’t an end all be all of understanding someone.

It’s the theories for which they base how we ought to operate or think in society, but ultimately the logic and justification behind something doesn’t change much about someone’s inclination towards particular actions or even the “outlier” actions which would all just be considered exceptions.

Looking at how this person uses their philosophy to operate is a better marker.

Kamila uses “I think therefore I am” to justify no need to prove anyone else in her world.. a bit of shroedingers cat but focused on the inability to prove anything is real outside of one’s own conscience mind.. while I agree how things aren’t very “real” to us outside of our perception, we are not our thoughts and I see this as an example of the “logic” game of philosophy misapplied and abused.

Regardless of what you’re trying to prove or justify with your philosophy, what are you doing?

Are you arguing over the good man or are you being one?

I agreed with Kamilas dislike of moralists, but I got caught up by the way she sees them.

After reading Haidt, I don’t want to believe in a philosophy without moralism anymore. You need to be specific with how it’s used
