You only need to understand a concept once. Once you understand a concept you will always recognize it.

Before obsidian, I repeated some concepts with dozens of apple notes without realizing it.

Because I hadn’t captured the concept well enough, I felt the need to make more notes. Instead of editing what I had until I understood the core of the idea I would spew more story or metaphor at it without refining it. The fact that I couldn’t recognize the notes as Same pattern; different name goes to show a lack of understanding.

Only a conceptual note has the solidity to be cemented as Atomic notes.

We also have the goal that Knowledge systems should accrete, notes should be able to build upon each other through High-fidelity association rather than bleeding the concepts into each other and ending up with dependencies.
