Public zettelkasten allow for self-study within someone else’s second brain
I’ve been fascinated by Andy’s Working Notes lately and gained so much more fluency within the zettelkasten system because I can directly see how his notes are interconnected. I can see exactly how one idea relates to the next. Prefer associative links > indexed files and he uses High-fidelity association. (Both notes inspired by the way he uses them).
I have also seen more blog-style websites as well recently with Gwern and the Zettelkasten sites. Gwern is particularly interesting because of his dedication to anonymity. It allows for strangers to peer into so much of his writing without easily being able to apply any kind of prejudice towards him. Honestly something I respect and do consider.
All great minds have good models. The problem is that those models often differ. Piotr Wioznek, Supermemo, Imprecision in psychology.
As definitions, generalizations, and models all differ from the personalities, yet can’t make a cohesive gold standard.
